"It's not that I don't want to tell you, it's that these matters are still hard to bring up. Thinking about them brings up a guilt that eats me away, you know?" Kvotha grimaced before attempting a wry grin. "The moment I'm strong enough to handle it, I'll let you know. I could probably use backup."
She scuffled her feet in the sand as she followed Kali, letting the topic of giant frogs fill her mind so she could concentrate fully on it. "I suppose it is better to be cautious. I haven't run into the Sand People in so long I suppose I let them slip my mind. If needed, I have a few of my own tricks." She nodded approvingly at herself and patted the green saber at her side. "I'd like to hear more about this frog-dog. Should I expect it to put up a fight at its capture?"

"Frog dogs are highly intelligent," said Kali. "They need to be tricked, I'm thinking something along the lines of promising one a better life. We'll need to convince it to want to be contained, and remain one step ahead of it." Kali licked her lips. "With luck and a little brain work, we will be able to capture it without much trouble. I don't want to harm it any more than you do."

"That should be fairly simple. Why wouldn't your employer be providing it a better life, anyway? I doubt we'd actually need to lie. And if they're intelligent, they'll know that no one could possibly approve of it walking about free. It would need to be contained to transport it without frightening anyone." Kvotha contemplated what exactly would be needed to be said.

Jeraldi ran through the crowd, laughing as he looked back to see the men chasing him panting just to keep up. "Come on guys! I know you've got more than that!" He shouted back as the bar where he had just been in a fight faded into the distance. He knew that these guys couldn't keep up with a Jedi such as himself. He was just toying with them. "Why can't I go to one planet without some douche wanting to pick a fight?" He said as he sighed. He had just hung this guy to a nail on the wall by his under garments, and apparently the guys in the bar didn't take too kindly to that. "Okay guys this is getting boring!" He shouted as he turned around and wave to them before disappearing into thin air. The men came to a halt after running right through where Jeraldi had been. Jeraldi watched them for a high roof, laughing to himself as they searched frantically. "I am so bored, I need a hobby."

"Maybe I'll let you do the debating," said Kali, giving Kvotha a lopsided grin. "And if you know all that, you know more about them than I would. I'd be careful when we say 'better life' though. Some people don't treat their pets well. I'm assuming it will be a pet, anyways, it might not be."
She wandered around. "Let's see, where can I find a decent gun?" she said to herself.

"You'd give a pet to someone who may treat it horribly?" Kvotha asked, taken aback. Perhaps Kali wasn't the person she though she was. "What if they mistreat it? What if..." her voice trailed off as she caught sight of a man laughing from a roof. She stared, forgetting to follow Kali into the crowd to search for a gun.
"What," she shouted, eyebrows raised, "in the Force are you doing up there Jeraldi?!" Just then, one of the men who had been running in the crowd knocked into her as he halted in confusion. She went down with an "oof!" and landed in the dirt, dust billowing up around her.

Jeraldi turned his head at the voice he just heard. "Who the?..." He said jumping down as he saw the person who was talking to him get knocked over. He jumped down from his perch to where the incident occurred. He grabbed the man by his shirt and lifted him up as he looked into his face. "Now that wasn't very nice, was it? Just because you were chasing me, doesn't mean you have the right to knock down everyone in your path. I managed to escape you without as much as touch a single person." He said mockingly as he threw the man down, watching him run away as he turned to the person who had been shouting his name. "Do I know you?" He said as he used the force to clear the dust around them. "Why, Kvotha! Fancy seeing you hear!"

Coughing, Kvotha watched the dust clear around her to reveal Jeraldi standing above her. She gave him a big smile, making herself comfortable on the ground. Might as go with it, or else she'd start blushing with embarrassment. She should have been paying more attention to what was going on around her!
"Thanks for rescuing me," Kvotha started, cocking her head sideways and letting her smile go lopsided. She brushed a strand of black hair from her face and looked up at him. "I never thought I'd see you again, what brings you to this awful, dusty planet? And whyever in the world were you running from those men?"

Jeraldi smiled as she asked the question. "I've just been hopping from planet to planet now a days. Trying to find something exciting to do. And I was just having a little fun with the locals!" He said smiling. "What about you?"

"Doing some idiot's grunt work he doesn't have the guts to do himself," replied Kali. She ignored Kvotha's question. If Kvotha wanted to assume things Kali had never said, then she could do without her. Drama was not in Kali's nature, and she didn't suffer it. Women were so annoying sometimes. Where did she come up with that anyway? There was no logical support to her comment, and she may think she was clarifying a valid point, but Kali saw the true crime in seeing evil where it was never there. Evil never appeared without motive, nor did it appear randomly as Kvotha seemed to assume and anyone who thought it did was only stirring up trouble and aiding its cause. Kali sighed. You think you know a woman, and then they begin throwing this crap at you. Kali shook her head. Men also had their problems, and at this point she wasn't sure which gender she preferred to spend her time with.
"I hope you're not getting yourself into too much trouble, Jeraldi," said Kali, with a sly grin. "Well, I don't know about you, but I have important work to do, so I will see you later." Kali turned and left, heading for the Mos Eisley cantina, a likely place to find other scum like her who would know where to find a decent gun. With any luck, she'd also find one drunk enough to pump for information. It never hurt to have too much information.

Jeraldi laughed aloud as Kali approached them. "Same old Kali I see!" He shouted to her as she was walking away. "Leaving so soon? We've got so much catching up to do! Maybe I'll join you on your little "escapade"." He said as he walked towards her, motioning for Kvotha to join him.

Kvotha stood up and followed them, shrugging away her confusion at Kali's reaction to her innocent question.
"Fun with locals, hah," she laughed as she caught up and walked beside Jeraldi. "Well, Kali and I were just off to find supplies, and then we're going to capture a frog dog! We think we can convince it to come with us willingly." She gave him a silly look and dramatically raised her voice. "Oh, Mister frog dog, please do come with us, kind sir. We'll give you a wonderful home. You'll have all the riches your could ever imagine!"

Jeraldi laughed as Kvotha made jokes about the Frog Dog they were after. "Frog Dog eh? Those are pretty crafty creatures...not nearly as dumb as people like to think. They've even been used as spies before. Why on earth would one want to be held captive as a pet of sorts? I prefer the wild myself." He said jokingly as they walked to catch up with Kali.

Surprised, Kvotha stopped her silly monologue. "You know a bit about frog dogs, do you? I think that'd be rather helpful! I believe we were planning on convincing it that it was going to be living a better life and all that. Unless you have a better idea?" She looked at him hopefully.

Jeraldi laughed aloud at the idea these two had in their head about Frog Dogs. "A better life? I think you'll find these Frog Dogs are smarter than you think they are, some are even smarter than you and I. Telling a Frog Dog that being held in captivity is a better life is like telling a Jedi not to use the force, unless there is some deeper purpose for said Frog Dog in being a pet. Frog Dogs are spies sometimes, and they pretend to be dumb pets to get close to someone of importance and retrieve information, but NO Frog Dog wants to be a pet for farts and giggles. I think you need to take this another direction, perhaps brute force." Jeraldi said as he turned and continued on in the direction of Kali.
