Sirius raised an eyebrow at Blacksight's request and compromise. He scoffed, "Do you not understand, Blacksight? He's holding you back. You will never release your true potential with him. Never." He continued to constrict Liam's throat. "I'm doing this for your own good. You'll appreciate it later." His voice dripped with some sarcasm and pity.
A white flash was then seen, followed by Sirius flying across the grounds. Once the flash evaporated, Liam was down on his hands and knees, gasping for breath. He had collected enough energy to create a strong enough force pulse to send Sirius soaring away. He coughed once more, and then his eyes darted toward Sirius, who had landed against a pillar, which was now cracked from the force of the push. Sirius seemed to stagger to his feet, his eyes back to their usual green. A confused look was on his face. Liam's eyes then darted over to Karen, with a mixed expression. He heard, too clearly, Karen's last words. "Karen...?" His voice was croaky and his throat sore. He glanced back to where Sirius was, intending to apprehend him, but the Sith had vanished, but his vanishing voice could be heard in the air, like a soft whisper. "You'll find me again...Blacksight."
Liam glanced back over to Karen, unsure what to make of her words. Was she in love with the Sith? That thought ached his heart. He sheathed his saber and clasped it back to his waist. "Are you ready to go home?" He asked her, unsure of her feelings for him now.

Karan watched as Sirius vanished into the air. His voice tickled past her ear, and she knew it was true. She was going to see him again. Blacksight's devotion to him could not be denied. However, when she turned to face Liam, a large smile crossed her face. He was the man she had first loved, and the one who had managed to bring her out of her despair in the dark side. She noticed the hesitation in his eyes, and she reached firmly for his hand. "Yes, Liam. Let's go home," she said. There was a measure of contentment in her eyes, which had returned back to their brilliant blue. With Sirius gone, it was so much easier to be her good self, Cloudtop. She embraced Liam. "I missed you so much," she told him.

Liam gave Karen a soft smile as her's had formed on her lips. He instinctively put out his hand to clasp her own. At the sound of her proclamation, his smile became more prominent. He welcomed the hug that soon followed. He buried his face into her air, enjoying the closeness. Happiness washed through him. She was back. "I've missed you too." He inhaled her scent, relishing in it, as well as confirming that this was not a dream. "More than you'll ever know." He gave her a gentle kiss on her head and then pulled back. He gave her a larger smile as he gestured toward his old apartment. Despite the happiness he felt for her return, the gnawing feeling of the Sith's proclamation began to fester within him. Cloudstrider could feel a darkness coming, and knew, in some way, that Blacksight would not let go of Karen.
When she was ready, Liam led Karen to his apartment, a bit amazed that the programming still allowed him inside the room, until he realized that his return was imminent. Stepping inside the familiar home, the white haired Jedi suddenly felt nervous and anxious in the presence of Karen. "Make yourself at home." He said lamely, still feeling the strain on his throat, and feeling quite hot all of a sudden.

Karan followed Liam back to his old apartment. The place was familiar to her, and she remembered the last time she was here, over a year ago. The memory brought a smile to her face, but also made her turn a bit red. Did he even remember? Did it matter anymore? They had both gone through so much over the past year; those childish days were far behind them. Still, she couldn't help but to hope that those feelings still remained with him. She settled on his couch as they entered. The place seemed mostly untouched, though it was obvious some droids had kept the place clean the whole time. She stared at Liam curiously. "So...what happened to you over the past year, Liam?" she asked.

Liam couldn't help but grin as Karen settled herself on his couch. He could get used to her being here. He carefully sat down next to her, feeling lightheaded and fidgity. He could quite clearly remember the last time they were alone. He glanced over to her, noting her curious expression. "Uh, well, I was taken to Rogue Moon...you recall the day I was told I was no longer a Jedi..." He glanced away from her, feeling a bit awkward at his comment. How could she not remember? That was the day Blacksight was born. He cleared his throat, feeling the scratchyness of it. "Um, I was actually wrong...they didn't kick me out...but rather, sent me there to train under another Jedi..." He glanced back up at Karen, happiness evident in his eyes. "I got to meet my mother." He divulged to her, feeling quite at ease with her. He didn't notice how his hand seemed to reach out for her's, desiring contact. "It was amazing. I learned many things over the past year...and, I think, grew much..." His eyes steadied on her's. "I thought about you a lot while I was away." He blushed lightly, embarrassed at his confession, after all, he had no idea if she still felt the same since a year ago. And the lingering comment she made about needing him and Sirius still taunted him.

Karan listened to Liam's explanation. She didn't even nod as he mentioned that day. She remembered it all too clearly. It was the day she murdered her Jedi Master and fully embraced the dark side. It wasn't the sort of thing she would quickly forget. Her eyes widened as he mentioned meeting his mother. She remembered that he had told her he never knew her. The happiness on his face was evident, and she was glad for him. She lowered her eyes as he confessed how much he had thought of her, and she held his hand tightly but gently. "I thought of you, too," she told him. "Every night, as I tried to fall asleep. I remembered our time together...and I would become angry at the Jedi for sending you away." She couldn't meet his eyes as she confessed it. Telling him that her love and memory of him was part of what kept her on that dark path felt so wrong now. But finally, she did raise her eyes to his. "I never stopped loving you," she admitted, hesitantly, wondering what he would think of that.

"You thought of me too?" Liam replied, surprisely pleased with this new revelation. She grew quiet then, somber almost as she confessed her anger at the Jedi. "Karen," He inched closer, allowing his free hand to touch her cheek. "Don't be angry with them. They planned it so that I could reunite myself with my mother. I know sometimes their requests are odd and confusing, but they really do have our best interest." He tried to catch her eyes and was glad to meet her blue ones when she finally looked at him. His heart began to beat madly at her confession. His eyes brimmed with happiness at her confession. "Nor did I." He whispered to her, his hand slowly slid down her cheek to her neck. "And I never will." He leaned forward to kiss her, heart hammering all the while. He wondered absently if she could hear it as he desired to close the remaining distance between them.

Karan still found it difficult to agree with the tactics of the Jedi Masters. Their confusing efforts were part of what really pushed her to the dark side, having caused her so much frustration over time. Her heart started hammering the moment her eyes met Liam's, and as the distance between them closed, she felt his beating just as fast. She gave a contented sigh as their lips met, and she pulled herself closer to him. Her arms went around his shoulders and her hands trailed into his white hair, and for a moment, nothing else existed or mattered in the world except him.

Liam's doubts about Karen's affection for him seemed to wash away as he felt the electrifying connection from her lips. He deepened the kiss, feeling the joy to be with her again as he forgot her comment about needing Sirius. Tonight, in this moment, he was eager to demonstrate his love for her, if only to help her understand and feel happiness. He wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer to him with one hand, whilst the other motioned to remove her cloak. At that motion, his mind seemed to surface from its lustful instincts and he broke from her lips. "Uh, maybe we should take this slow..." He breathed out, aware of the lack of breath he now had. "I don't want you to think this is all that I want...I love you, Karen...and I don't want to ruin this..." He stammered out, quite red at his confession, but was quite ready to always tell her the truth.

Jeraldi sat on a nearby hill, confused that what he had felt had suddenly vanished. He wasn't sure what he was supposed to do. Something inside of him told him he needed to help, but he had lost the source and had no idea where he was going or what he was supposed to do. Jeraldi decided to call it a night and began to head back towards town and begin anew tomorrow.
