Skypath stood hip deep in the murky waters of the Dagobah swamp, reaching out through the Force, trying to locate something. She'd felt the presence of a Force gem nearby when she flew over and was intent on finding it and adding it to her collection. She'd just found it again when suddenly she felt something slither past her leg. Skypath didn't think there were any deadly creatures in this part of the water, but it seemed she was mistaken on that point. Jumping out of the water, she agily climbed into the tree over her. She had a very bad feeling about this. Nothing here seemed to be right. Her perspecitive was entirely off.

Jeraldi walked slowly through the swampy waters of Dagobah. Suddenly he heard something crawling up a tree. It had a force to it, and a strong one at that. He used his stealth technique to get a closer view and pulled out his saber. "Who goes there?" He asked nimbly as he looked up feeling a bit of nervousness coming from the source of the force.

Skypath made a face as she was spotted by someone. Who could be out here in this mess of a wet, dreary wasteland? Her eyes narrowed as she spotted the man in the water below them. Now that she saw him, she could sense him clearly, whereas a few moments before she hadn't felt a thing. If this place affects me this much, I'm never coming back to Dagobah, she thought. She pulled the blaster from her side and felt her lightsaber. "I am a Jedi," she declared, "known to the others of my order as Skypath."

(Skypath). The name rang in his head as he attempted to remember where he had heard that name. He couldn't put a finger on it, but he HAD heard it before. He shook it off as he saw her pull her blaster from her side to expose the lightsaber. "Calm down now, I'm a jedi myself. I've fought off many things in these swamps, I'd rather not fight a fellow jedi." He said not even putting a finger on his own saber as to show no hostility. "Why are you in a tree anyway?" He asked as he felt something slither past his leg. "Ah, I see now." He said.

Skypath drew her eyebrows together, faintly recognizing the voice. She kept her hand on her blaster, still cautious. He claimed to be another Jedi, but he could be dark. "Well, forgive me for being cautious," she said. "There's something off here. I can't sense things right. As for why I'm in the tree, I suggest you do the same, unless you want to be killed by some wild water creature."

He laughed a nervous laugh as he agreed with her. He used the force and teleported himself to where she was in the tree. "Don't worry I don't bite." He said amusingly as he attempted to figure out what he was going to do. He assumed she would feel his dark jedi, but wasn't going to say anything about his rebellion until she asked.

When he teleported to the tree, Skypath was on her guard in an instant, sensing now the dark nature with him. She knew he was a dark Jedi and as such, distrusted his motives. "I was about to find my way back to my ship," she excused, not wanting to remain with this man for very long. She could return for her prize later.

"Ah, well maybe you could use some company." He suggested as he saw her stiffly on her guard. "Look, I know you feel the dark remains of the force within me. But you should also be able to tell that it isn't strong enough in me for me to still be part of the dark jedi. I..I rebelled against the counsel, a long, long time ago, and I would like to help you, but I understand if you want to leave, however, I advise strongly against that as it would be better to stick together." He said looking into her eyes. Jedi could sense trust and emotion in other jedi, to see whether they were lying or not. He could only hope that she could sense him.

Skypath stared him down for a long time, trying to decide whether or not he was lying. He didn't seem to be, and he was trying to put her at ease. She relaxed her guarded stance slightly, but her mind was still active for any chance of treachery. "All right," she finally said, "assuming you don't have your own ship here, I guess I can give you a ride at the very least."

Jeraldi laughed at the mention of a ship. "A ship? I have my own HOME here!" He said amusingly. "I've made homes on every major planet that I've come across, not because I wanted to, but out of necessity. I travel a lot and need a permanent place to stay. So yes, I do have a ship and a house." He said with a smile.

Skypath arched an eyebrow at his information. The man actually chose to live in this swamp? She knew there were some people--Jedi included--who would choose to live in these strange worlds in the outer rim, but she never understood them. Any planet with a civilization was more suited for her--aside from Coruscant, that was, where her intolerable family lived who would insist she act like a proper politician's daughter rather than a free Jedi. "I'm probably going to head to Tattooine next," she told him. "After that I was going to make the long jump to Coruscant."

He raised an eyebrow at her comments. "So a traveler we are eh? I'm one myself, don't worry I don't live here ALL the time, just a vacation spot. It's where I get away from all the distractions and commotion of people. Are you sure you don't want something to eat first before your travels? I've got some fresh cooked snake back at camp."

Skypath attempted to keep a stoic expression at the mention of cooked snake for food. It was about the most unappealing thing she could think of to eat. "Thanks, but no thanks," she said. "I'll wait until Tattooine."

"Are you sure?" He asked rather assertively now. "You do realize a meteor shower is coming through here. You won't be able to make it out until sunrise. I mean you can try to leave, and I certainly won't stop you, but I advise against it as you would probably get caught in the flux. Plus, I DO have other things to eat besides snake, I just enjoy hunting for my meals. I also have calamari and other fresh produce that I can fix. It's not a rundown shack you know, it's a pretty decent place."

Matthias Blackmore leaned nearby, listening and rather bored.
"Do you have any steak?" he asked, stepping forward. "Or maybe some fried Jawa?"
