Character's attitude: Matthias is a rather blunt person. Unlike many of his brothers and sisters of the dark side, however, Matthias does not seek destruction for it's own sake. There must be a purpose behind every action before it can be taken. Though death is sweet to deliver to all who cross him, Matthias knows that some transgressions must be overlooked for a greater benefit (mainly his own)

History: Matthias Blackmore, the son of an Echani father and human mother, grew up on the former rebel base on Hoth, though the base was in use as a staging area for the New Republic forces. Both of Matthias' parents were killed when a New Republic cruiser malfunctioned and crashed into the inhospitable climate of Hoth while he was 70 (his race lives up to 400). No one from the base was willing to venture into the cold and snow to search for survivors, and as a result all the passengers aboard the cruiser died. This enraged Matthias, who had significant training in the Echani arts from his mother. In a fit of rage, he killed nearly twenty soldiers and officers before he was overwhelmed and captured. Sentenced to death for the murders, the New Republic soldiers released him into the wilderness of Hoth, where he was found by a roving group of dissident Jedi, who had turned to the dark side. They began to instruct Matthias in the ways of the Sith and he soon came to dominate the group.
Role Play Sample: Matthias crouched in the cold snow, watching the New Republic soldiers as they patrolled the front of the base. His entire life, Matthias had lived on Hoth. Past those guards rested his chance of escape. The new sith around him, little more attuned to the Force than rodents, shivered. Matthias smiled within his helmet. "Let's go," he told the others around him. They grumbled but moved closer.
"I've got a bad feeling about this," one of the older jedi rebels complained, looking down at the base. "There's too many of them." Without looking, Matthias picked the old human up with the Force and tossed him the several hundred feet to the base, knocking a pair of guards to the ground. Uttering no words, Matthias charged, twin lightsabers, glowing a brilliant yellow, ignited in his hands.
