Character's name: Darius
Character's age: 23
Character's attitude: Darius struggles to keep his anger under control, though it often gets the better of him. He is not an "evil" person, but he does have a darker side. For Darius there is no distinction between Jedi and Sith, or the Light or Dark sides of the Force. To him, the Force is moral-less and can only be given a "good" or "evil" distinction by the one who wields it. Thus, he delves freely in both "sides" of the Force, Dark and Light. He does not tolerate the slandering of monkeys.
Character's Race: Iridonian/Zabrak (same species, different name)
Character's appearance: i524.photobucket.com/albums/cc322/Mar_Taran/images-2.jpg
Darius has tan skin, though darker than a human "tan." His eyes are a dark brown color. Darius stands roughly 6 feet tall and is moderately muscled. During his long trips in space, he forces himself to workout physically while also honing his Force skills. He dresses in an armor suit which can be described as being close to hardened leather, though the material is a cloth fabric capable of turning away glancing blaster bolts.
Character's allegiance: Neutral.
Weapons: Darius created his own personalized lightsaber from blueprints he found while exploring his home planet, Iridonia. The blade is standard length, but can activate a smile spike from the reverse of the hilt (a lightspike, as he likes to call it), giving him a versatile weapon and tool. The blade is colored a vibrant orange.
Other Info: Darius has a strong love for monkeys. Growing up, he once owned a monkey-like creature, who was killed by a drunken barmaid.
History: Darius grew up on the planet Iridonia. His father was only home when he wasn't out selling spices (legal and illegal). His mother died when he was very young. So, with his father out of home much of the time, and his mother dead, Darius spent the majority of his time wandering the harsh environment of his home planet. He quickly learned how to fend for himself, often evading the watchful eyes of his protector, his mother's younger brother. At an early age, it was discovered that he had a strong connection to the Force. But because of his home's location on the planet, no Jedi arrived to train him. His father would often bring treatises on the Force home with him to let young Darius read and study. After several years, Darius had gained a solid control on the basics of the Force. Exploring one day, he happened across an old derelict ship. Inside, Darius found various old technologies and, most importantly to him, the blueprints to an experimental style lightsaber (as described previously). His species' affinity to technology was a great asset. Over the course of two years, Darius managed to replicate, modify, and perfect the experimental blueprint, all the while practicing and honing his Force abilities. At the age of 22, Darius, with his newly perfected lightsaber and growing Force abilities, left his homeworld for the planet of Onderon, hoping to find some lost Jedi or Sith teachings on the war-torn moon, Dxun.
Role Play Sample: Darius wandered the rough terrain, bored and alone. His uncle had left for town several days before, hoping to find a girl and some drink. Darius, in his late-teens, was interested but forbidden from drinking or pursuing women. His father was away, as usual, but his uncle had been in a foul mood and hurried away before Darius could protest being left alone to his own devices. So, denied pleasure of the adult variety, he ventured off into the wastes. The wind blue strong and hard, often threatening to push him over. Darius kept doggedly to his feet. After a few boring hours, an oddity in the horizon caught Darius' eyes. Excited, he used the Force to help speed his motions. Within minutes, he reached the crashed ship, old and far beyond repair. Inside were various old computers, screens, and other types of technology that was obviously not Iridonian, but neither was it anything Darius was familiar with. After searching and sifting through the wreckage, and collecting dozens of components to fix, Darius found a simple durasteel box. Hefting it, he opened it to reveal sealed blueprints. Excited beyond belief, he took the box, blueprints, and other scraps and ran home to begin work.
